BUS STATION: Homeless to Strength

DOCUMENTARY | 2025 | 13 mins

This documentary follows Chris, who has been experiencing homelessness and sleeping near a local bus station. The film offers an intimate look into his daily life, exploring how he navigates basic routines such as finding food, maintaining hygiene, and surviving the challenges of living without stable housing.

Beyond documenting hardship, the film also focuses on Chris’s personality, resilience, and aspirations. We see his passion for powerlifting and his dream of becoming a competitive athlete, showing that ambition and hope can exist even in difficult circumstances.

Through observational storytelling, the documentary highlights both the struggles and humanity of homelessness, balancing the realities of survival with Chris’s determination to pursue his goals and build a better future.

Director’s note:

“With this documentary, my main goal was to highlight the voice and humanity of those experiencing homelessness. I wanted to show that behind the label is a person with dreams, routines, struggles, and resilience.

The film focuses on daily life, exploring moments that many of us might take for granted. Simple actions such as finding food, staying clean, or finding a place to rest can become complex challenges for someone without stable housing.

What is easy for many of us can be physically and emotionally difficult for others. Through this project, I hope audiences take a moment to reflect on the reality of homelessness and the strength it takes to continue moving forward despite hardship.“
